| The 80 acre Welsh Game Fair site is situated directly alongside the main A40 dual carriageway Euro-route linking Ireland to the M4 motorway. Those of you using your satellite navigation systems to find your way to the Welsh Game Fair please input the following postcode: SA33 5DR The site is easy to access using the recently installed flyover from the duel carriageway and new purpose built internal road network, which makes this showground site one of the safest and easily accessible exhibition sites in the UK. The long wide link roads mean that traffic does not back-up onto the dual carriage way. Access for visitors is easy and even events which attract a large number of vehicles have never seen traffic delays either entering or leaving the site. This is a major advantage of the site in comparison to exhibition venues in urban or very rural locations. View Larger Map The main railway line boarders the south side of the site and there is a free Park and Ride bus operating from the perimeter of the showground to central Carmarthen every 15 minutes (during working hours) offering access to the station over the new Towy foot bridge. Trains run every hour to the east to connect with the fast trains from Swansea to London and Birmingham. Easy access means hassle free entry and exit.
The site is within 30 minutes driving time to the outskirts of Swansea and just over one hour from Cardiff. London is three and a half hours drive. From Carmarthen station trains run hourly to Cardiff, Bristol, Birmingham and London. For those travelling West to Ireland, ferries operate twice daily from both Pembroke Dock and Fishguard. From the East: As you enter Carmarthen on the A48 to Pensarn Roundabout, follow the signs for the A40 St Clears. The Showground is approx 1 mile west of Carmarthen on the dual carriageway.
From the North: Travel on the A40 into Carmarthen and follow signs to St Clears as above.
From the West: Travel to St Clears on the A40 from Haverfordwest (or A477 from Tenby & Pembroke) and follow Showground signs on dual carriageway just before you reach Carmarthen.
