Terry will be showing various aspects of training birds in a fascinating free flying demonstration with a commentary to explain the techniques used.
Like his father and grandfather before him, Terry has a lifetime’s involvement in field sports. He was brought up to particpate in country pursuits, and would spend hours wildfowling on Frodsham marshes, ferreting and fishing.
Having developed a fascination with birds of prey, from watching the wild buzzards, sparrow hawks and peregrines in his native Wales, Terry was apprenticed to a master falconer in his teens. He has since become a leading figure in the falconry world, and is Chairman of the Campaign for Falconry.
When not appearing at shows, Terry also arranges falconry courses for both groups and individuals to learn this noble art in the magnificient surroundings of the Lleyn peninsularm North Wales.
As well as giving talks and demonstrations, Terry’s passion is running the Falcony Classrooms to introduce a new generation to the noble sport of Falconry.
