Casting Champion, Hywel Morgan will be providing expert advice in the casting clinics and demonstrations a  Worldt the Welsh this year, on a purpose built casting arena. Also in attendence will be the Welsh Salmon and Trout Association to provide guidance and advice to all things fishing! 

Huskies

The  team of Koomeska Siberian Huskies and their handlers will be present at the event, and be delighted to
meet you in the Countryside Alliance ring.

Avon Valley Ferrets is a husband & wife team passionately dedicated to the welfare and well-being of ferrets and polecats. Their long netting and working ferret displays demonstrate how ferrets are worked when used for rabbit control.Their main objectives are to educate people and promote all aspects of welfare toward these much maligned and little known about creatures as well as showing the age old traditional method of making and setting nets in regards to rabbit control within the countryside.Their demonstrations on both days will be in the Country Alliance arena will show ‘traditional rabbit control using ferrets and nets’ will include a brief history of the ferret and polecat, how ferreting was introduced including the various methods used with nets. 
Scurry
 
Popular Scurry Competition will be open to allcomers and any breed of dog, now sponsored by Gelert Country Choice All participants welcome, entries on the day.
 
Prises for each day
1st Place – £30, Rosette, Gelert Dog Food, K. M. Trailers Bowl Stand
2nd Place – £15, Rosette & Gelert Dog Food
3rd Place – £10, Rosette & Gelert Dog Food
Entries Cost £3.00 each or 5 for £12.00 

Gundog Scurry Rules
Two seen dummies will be thrown. The dog may be restrained if necessary.
When both dummies have landed, the dog must retrieve both dummies against the clock.
The dummies can be retrieved in either order. The dog will be allowed two minutes in which to retrieve both dummies.
The clock will be stopped in between retrieves when the dog has returned to the designated area.
The dog that retrieves both dummies in the fastest will be the winner Re-entry is permitted.

CarverDave Bytheway a professional chainsaw expert will be enthralling audiences in his arena and in the Countyside Alliance arena with his specialist skill of carving figurines from logs using only his chainsaw.

Black Adders flyball team is a friendly group of dog owners who enjoy fun and competitive participation in the fast (and noisy!) sport of flyball. Flyball is the fastest growing dog sport and is suitable for any breed, shape and size of dog as long as they are reasonably healthy and love tennis balls! We are based in the south of Wales between Bridgend and Swansea and are always happy to welcome anyone who would like to give flyball a try.The team will be at the fair on both days demonstrating twice a day.

Olympic Windows Welsh Open Stick making Championship
Qualifier for B.S.G. National Stick Making Championship.

On Saturday the 18th June members of the Dinefwr and District Stick Makers Guild will be demonstrating their methods of stick making at the Welsh Game Fair. Further information contact

The Terrier Show on Sunday 19th June will be a qualifier for The Countryman’s Weekly Champion of Champions 2016.
The Champion Terrier will go forward to compete in the Finals at the Midland Game Fair in September.
Terrier and Lurcher Racing will commence after the show. Schedule and furter hinformation

Terrier and Lurcher racing will take place after the completion of the show.  In addition to the usual races there will be an pen lurcher race, with the winner receiving the Heather Stevens Perpetual Trophy.

The huntsmen and hounds compete on Saturday 18th for the coveted Best Hound in Show, a traditional collection o Hounds and their handlers. Schedule and further information
